PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide positioning signal transmitting equipment, a positioning apparatus, and a positioning system capable of utilizing two or more frequency bands effectively and having higher reliability. SOLUTION: At a GPS satellite 100 and a PL transmitter 200, carrier waves in L1, L2, and L5 wave bands are modulated by an SOC modulation system and a BOC modulation system on the basis of C/A and P codes, and positioning signals up to twelve kinds are generated and emitted into space. At a receiver 300, a plurality of these positioning signals are received, and the states of reception of the positioning signals in each wave band are monitored by a signal monitoring section 304a. From data on positioning based on positioning signals whose reception states are good, positional information on the apparatus itself is calculated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
