PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining structure for improving fatigue performance, by actively introducing compressive residual stress into a welding part of a reinforcing material. SOLUTION: This joining structure is formed by joining a columnar structural member to a plate-like structural member. The plate-like reinforcing material for reinforcing joining of the structural member, is welded to the joining columnar structural member and plate-like structural member. The reinforcing material has a U-shaped or V-shaped bending part along a surface of the columnar structural member. The U-shaped or V-shaped bending part is formed on the columnar structural member side. Material yield stress of the columnar structural member is set to 300 Mpa or more. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
