PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record data at an access unit of a memory on a recording medium for recording/reproducingthe data at a larger unit than the access unit of the memory. SOLUTION: A PC 100 requests the recording of the data by specifying the address at a sector unit to a disk 90 recording at a cluster unit. Masks 200 for blocking the data transfer at a sector unit are set on the basis of the address specification with respect to the memory 4 accessible at the sector unit while being controlled by a cluster unit of the disk 90. The data transferred at the sector unit from the PC 100 are written into the memory. The data of the cluster corresponding to the disk 90 are transferred to the memory 4. These data are blocked by the mask 200 and written into only the sector whereon the mask 200 is not being set, and the data of the sector whereon the mask 200 of the memory 4 is set, are held.
