PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treated aluminum material which has a surface gloss and a color tone with little dependency on angles and dependency on directions when observed and with enough uniformity and reproducibility, and has warm touch and a calm texture, and further has high scratch resistance. SOLUTION: The aluminum material consists of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, and is obtained by providing the surface subjected to roughening treatment in advance with an anodically oxidized coating and a coating film layer, wherein the pencil scratch resistance of the surface is 6H to 9H, the ratio of the L* value in the light receiving angle of 0°to the L* value in the light receiving angle of 45°measured at the incident angle of -45°by a bending spectroscopic system is≥0.25, there is no unevenness in reflection and the same color tone is exhibited even if observed from any direction.
