ANTI-CD4 ANTIBODY HOMOLOG USEFUL FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF AIDS, ARC AND HIV INFECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-CD4 antibody without blocking the bond of HIVgp120 (glycoprotein 120) with human CD4 significantly, and capable of blocking HIV-induced syncytium formation effectively, and a 5A8 mimic peptide or a half peptide compound inhibiting the HIV-induced syncytium formation among CD4+cells and/or inhibiting the HIV infection of the CD4+cells. SOLUTION: This anti-CD4 antibody without blocking the bond of HIVgp120 with human CD4 significantly, and capable of blocking HIV-induced syncytium formation effectively is provided. Also, the 5A8 mimic peptide or the half peptide compound inhibiting the HIV-induced syncytium formation among CD4+cells and the 5A8 mimic peptide or the half peptide compound inhibiting the HIV infection of the CD4+cells are provided.
