Disclosed is a coolant compressor comprising a piston-cylinder unit and a rod (9) that connects a crankshaft and the piston and is provided with a groove (12) for delivering oil, which is located on the inner surface of the piston pin bearing (3) and extends from an axial bearing surface (17) of the piston pin bearing (3) in the direction of, preferably all the way to, the opposite axial bearing surface thereof. Said groove is placed in the half of the piston pin bearing (3) of the connecting rod (9), which is adjacent to the connecting rod. The aim of the invention is to create a coolant compressor that has a simple structure and uses the advantages of a groove arrangement to better distribute oil in the piston pin bearing without generating surface pressures which result in a great degree of wear or damage the part or require the part to have a larger size. Said aim is achieved by the fact that the line connecting the center of gravity (15) of the cross-sectional surface of the groove (12) to the axis (4) of the piston pin bearing (3) and the plane (E) formed by the axis (4) of the piston pin bearing and the axis (5) of the connecting rod bearing (2) enclose an angle (a) in relation to the axial direction of the piston pin bearing (3).
