<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To return to a waiting state faster when an electric wave becomes good after finding the out-of-zone. <P>SOLUTION: In the base station retrieval system of a foldable portable telephone, a base station retrieval system of the foldable portable telephone for retrieving the base station includes an out-of-zone determining unit 104A for comparing a receive field value and a first waiting field threshold value, determining that the foldable portable telephone is out of zone when the receive field value becomes smaller than the first waiting threshold value, and canceling the waiting state in retrieval of the base station; an open and close detecting unit 104B for detecting the folded state and the opened state of the foldable portable telephone just after the determination of out-of-zone by the out-of-zone determining unit; and a wait enabling receive field value setting unit 104C for changing the first waiting field threshold value in the out-of-zone determining unit to a second waiting field threshold value smaller than the first waiting field threshold value, when the folded state is detected by the open and close detecting unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
