<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a near IR ray absorbing filter which has intense and wide absorption in the near IR region, high light transmittance in the visible ray region, no intense absorption at a specified wavelength in the visible ray region, good workability and productivity, and which is stable in the performance for a long period of time even at high temperature and high humidity. <P>SOLUTION: The near IR ray absorbing filter is formed by laminating a coating layer comprising a composition in which a near IR ray absorbing dye is dispersed in a binder resin on a substrate by using a solvent-containing coating liquid. An initial light beam transmittance at 700-1,100 nm wavelength of the near IR ray absorbing filter is below a light beam transmittance shown by the spectral curve of the drawing. A light beam transmittance at 700-1,100 nm wavelength of the near IR ray absorbing filter after storage at 60°C and 95% humidity for 500 h is also stable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
