PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air pressure control device for a tire capable of controlling the air pressure so that the maneuverability of a vehicle is enhanced by estimating the grip condition between the tire and the road surface during running, monitoring the estimation, and allowing the tire to exert the limit performance in satisfactorily. SOLUTION: The air pressure control device of the tire structured as capable of controlling the air pressure of the tire while the vehicle is running, controls the tire air pressure on the basis of the tire air pressure, the tire temperature, and the contacting sound pressure between the tire and the road surface. In case the vehicle is equipped with an air suspension, the air chamber of the suspension is put in communication with inside the tire, and the pressures of the air encapsulated in the suspension and the tire are controlled in a single piece. In case the vehicle is fitted with tires having a so-called double tire structure, the air pressures in the inner tube and the outer tube of the double tire structure are controlled independently.
