PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sound quality from deteriorating and to suppress an apparatus configuration from becoming large and high in cost by easily synchronizing the digital audio signal that is asynchronous with a video signal, with the video signal. SOLUTION: The signal processing apparatus comprises: an input clock generating circuit 10 for generating an input clock signal from an audio signal that is asynchronous with a video signal; an output clock signal generating circuit 20 for generating an output clock signal on the basis of a frame reference signal; a plurality of input CH1, CH2 audio signal processing circuits 30, 31 which perform deinterleave processing based on the input clock signal on the audio signal; a plurality of sample rate converting circuits 32, 33 which define the input clock signal as an input reference clock and defines the output clock signal as an output reference clock; and a plurality of output CH1, CH2 audio signal processing circuits 34, 35 which perform interleave processing or the like based on the output clock signal on the rate-converted audio signal.
