PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the name of a communication apparatus from being the same as another device and to make it easy to specify the equipment by setting the name of the communication apparatus from host equipment. SOLUTION: A communication means which is mounted on the host equipment 102 having a 1st name to communicate and a communication apparatus 101 which is used for the communication and has a 2nd name are equipped with a name acquiring means of acquiring the 1st name from the host equipment 102 and a name setting means of setting the 2nd name used by the communication means according to the 1st name acquired by the name acquiring means.
