PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducible alternative material for wood excellent in nailing property, workability such as cutting property, etc., necessary as wood, mechanical property and durability. SOLUTION: The alternative material for wood comprises 100 pts.wt. of a resin derived from plant resource-orignated raw material and 1-350 pts.wt. of an organic filler derived from nature, wherein the resin derived from plant resource-orignated raw material in the alternative material for wood has≥100°C of crystallization temperature (Tc) in decreasing-temperature, and a carboxy group-reactive terminal-blocking agent and/or a crystallization promoter are mixed to the resin composition comprising 100 pts.wt. of the plant derived resin and 1-350 pts.wt. of the organic filler derived from nature.
