PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antineoplastic agent which possess cell-cycle inhibitory activity and accordingly useful for their anti-cancer (such as anti-cell-proliferative, anti-cell migration and/or apoptotic) activity and are therefore useful in methods of treatment of a warm-blooded animal, such as human. SOLUTION: Pyrimidine derivatives of formula (I), (wherein Q<SB>1</SB>, Q<SB>2</SB>, G and R<SP>1</SP>are as defined in the specification), and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and in vivo hydrolysable esters thereof are provided. Processes for their manufacture, pharmaceutical compositions and their use as cyclin-dependent serine/threonine kinase (CDK) and focal adhesion kinase (FAK) inhibitors are also provided.
