摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a heat exchanger provided inside a cabinet located in an outdoor communication base station or the like to cool down the inside of the cabinet efficiently while it is reduced in size. <P>SOLUTION: Fans 28 are arranged above a substrate 24 as an object of cooling inside the cabinet 20. Warm air warmed up by the substrate 24 is sucked up to be sent upward by the fans 28. The warm air sent upward by the fans 28 is ramified through an air duct 30 provided above the fans 28. A part of the warm air is guided as a first offshoot by the fans 28 to a heat exchanger 40. The air duct 30 is so arranged as to make the amount of the first offshoot suitable for the capacity of the heat exchanger 40, and the rest of the warm air exceeding the capacity of the heat exchanger 40 is considered as a second offshoot. The second offshoot is blown against the inner wall of the cabinet 20, and sent downward along the side wall of the cabinet 20. Heat is dissipated outside by the second offshoot through the intermediary of the cabinet 20, so that this cooling mechanism is capable of dissipating a larger amount of heat as a whole than a case wherein all warm air sent by the fans 28 is guided to the heat exchanger 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
