<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of obtaining a sufficient energy-saving effect by carrying out communication of additional information in an energy saving state via a network without applying power to the main section of the apparatus for substantial image processing of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image processor is characterized in that a sub-unit takes over a network setting in a main unit by informing the sub-unit about the setting information related to the communication of the additional information in the main unit via the network when shifting to the energy saving mode so that the sub-unit can communicate the additional information via the network in the energy saving mode for the main unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
