PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a frictional engagement element included in an automatic transmission. SOLUTION: This ECT_ECU performs a program including: a step (S102) of detecting a vehicle speed when N→D garage shift is required (YES in S100); a step (S106) of outputting 5th speed shift command to engage an input clutch C1 before a clutch C4 when the vehicle speed is above the N→D garage shift permit vehicle speed (YES in S104); a step (S110) of performing predetermined time electronic throttle regulation control when the throttle opening is above a throttle regulating opening (YES in S108); and a step (S114) of outputting a 5th speed shift command until a predetermined time elapses after the 5th speed shift command is output, and then outputting a shift command of a target gear stage obtained from a variable speed map.
