PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose ester film excellent in optical characteristics, dimensional stability, transparency, flatness and frame-like void trouble resistance, its manufacturing method and a polarizing sheet using the cellulose ester film. SOLUTION: A dope contains an ultraviolet absorber and at least two kinds of plasticizers wherein one of them is a polyhydric alcohol ester type plasticizer and the other one of them is a phosporic ester type plasticizer and also contains a cellulose ester wherein a value of weight average molecular weight Mw/number average molecular weight Mn is 1.8-3.0. This dope is cast on a belt support by a solution casting film forming method to form a web and the stretching of this web is started in an MD direction when the residual amount of a solvent in the web is 40 mass% or above while the stretching thereof is performed in a TD direction when the residual amount of a solvent is below 40 mass% to manufacture the cellulose ester film.
