PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add a service concerned with telephone calling to an IP telephone system by a function of a server without adding any hardware function to a client terminal by centralizing functions concerned with call control between client terminals in the server. SOLUTION: A system comprises the server 1 and the plurality of client terminals 2 (2-1, 2-2 and 2-3) connected to the server 1. When the service is added to the IP telephone system which makes a telephone call by using the Internet protocol while the server controls call settings between the client terminals by using the H.323 protocol, calls are established between the server and client terminals respectively even in non-telephone-call states and the calls are used to exchange information (DTMF signal) concerned with the call settings between the server 1 and client terminals 2, thereby the service concerned with telephone calling between the client terminals 2 is added.
