PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the inserting method and terminal inserting device for the terminal by which a terminal metal can be surely inserted inside a terminal containing groove. SOLUTION: The terminal inserting device 1 is provided with a housing retaining part 21, an inserting alignment part 23, a retaining mechanism 24 and a coil spring 25. An insulating plate 2, as the connector housing, is retained by the housing retaining part 21. The inserting alignment part 23 is provided with a misalignment preventing part 57 aligning a solderless terminal 3, as a terminal fitting, by abutting a tip end 15a of the solderless terminal 3. The retaining mechanism 24 retains wire 16, attached to the solderless terminal 3, in which the tip end 15a is abutted to the misalignment preventing part 57. The coil spring 25 energizes the retaining mechanism 24 toward the misalignment preventing part 57 after the wire 16 is retained by the retaining mechanism 24. The inserting alignment part 23 inserts the solderless terminal 3 into the terminal containing groove 11 of the insulating plate 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
