摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL device capable of emitting light with high luminance even by small power consumption. SOLUTION: A transparent electrode 8, a positive hole transportation layer 9, an organic luminescent layer 10 and a reflecting electrode 11 are formed on an uneven surface 7 of a transparent substrate 6 by respectively sequentially stacking them in a curved shape. A luminescent part composed of the transportation layer 9 and the luminescent layer 10 is provided with recessed parts 12a and projecting parts 12b with respect to a light emitting surface 6a; and the transportation layer 9 is so formed that the projecting parts 12b have layer thickness larger than that of the recessed parts 12a. The luminescent layer 10 of the recessed parts 12a preferentially emits light as compared with that of the projecting parts 12b when a voltage is applied between the transparent electrode 8 and the reflecting electrode 11.
