PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the time of applying heat when a display panel is fixed to a supporting frame and to prevent a hot-melt material or a thermosetting material from spreading between the display panel and the supporting frame in an image display apparatus having a display panel fixed to a supporting frame by using a hot-melt material or a thermosetting material. SOLUTION: The panel has a panel flat portion 15b (16b, 17b) as a portion where a hot-melt material 21 or the like is to be deposited, the flat portion which is parallel to the supporting frame flat portion 18a (19a, 20a) of the supporting frame 18 (19, 20) where a hot-melt material 21 or the like is to be deposited and which has a smaller area than the supporting frame flat portion 18a (19a, 20a).
