PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase quantity of filled inclusions without increasing transmission loss and moreover to remarkably raise detaining force of secondary coated optical fibers. SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable 1 consists of a long optical element part 13 obtained by, coating with: a cable sheath 11; secondary coated optical fibers 3 each of which consists of a single or a plurality of primary coated optical fibers or optical fiber ribbons; a first inclusion 5 which is arranged by being wound around surroundings of these secondary coated optical fibers 3; a second inclusion 7 which is arranged longitudinally along the surroundings of the first inclusion 5; and tension members 9 for the optical elements which are arranged at both sides of the secondary coated optical fibers 3 in the extension direction of the secondary coated optical fibers 3. Moreover, the optical fiber cable 1 has at least one notched part 15 on each surface of the cable sheath 11 on both sides of the secondary coated optical fibers 3 in a second direction perpendicular to a first direction connecting tension members 9 for the optical elements.
