GENETIC MARKER LINKED TO HULLNESS HULLESSNESS GENE AND UTILIZATION OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a genetic marker capable of, especially, identifying a position on which a hullness hullessness gene is mounted especially in barley, and to provide a method for utilizing the same. SOLUTION: The genetic marker comprises a polynucleotide having any one of eight kinds of specified base sequences or a part thereof and is linked to the hullness hullessness gene of the plant. A detailed linkage map near the hullness hullessness gene of a barley 7H chromosome can be formed by using the genetic marker, and further the position on which the hullness hullessness gene is mounted is specified in the chromosome of the plant by using the linkage map.
