PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bioreactor from which proliferated photosynthesis organisms can efficiently be recovered. SOLUTION: A horizontal culture tank (10) in which light-transmitting pipes are connected to each other is connected to an overhead tank (20) through a first pipe (30) and a second pipe (40). An airlift pump (50) supplies a gas containing carbon dioxide to the first pipe in a prescribed concentration. The upper end of the first pipe is opened at the upper side position of the head tank, and the upper end of the second pipe is also opened at the bottom of the head tank. The excessively supplied gas and oxygen produced by a photosynthesis reaction are separated from the culture solution and then outward removed from a gas-discharging port (21) disposed on the upper side of the head tank. A culture medium is injected from a culture medium tank (60) into the first pipe (30) through a culture medium supply pipe (62) with a culture medium pump (61).
