A method for supporting a vertical post on a stack of drink crates has pairs of L-shaped tags clipped into the sides of the crates and with holes into which the posts (14) are slid. The preformed tags are simple to erect and are easily stored in the crates. The posts can be in sections and made of cardboard for weight saving and compact storage. The posts support vending labels simply hung onto the tops.
