<p>A stand for an upright post, e.g. a Christmas tree, has a central socket (17) fitted with adjustable grips (31) to secure the bottom of the post/tree trunk. The socket is fitted into the centre of a tray shaped container (18) with a ring shaped trough (11) around the central container and linked to same by spacers and hollow fittings which also serve as ducts for water placed into the trough. The trunk grips (31) are secured to the socket by bolt on clamps and the trough is covered by a perforated cover.</p> |
