<p>Second energy store (SES) (2) is charged from a first energy store (FES) (1) at a 100 percent rated charge. A predetermined percentage of energy in the SES is stored back into the FES. The SES is recharged at 100 percent rated charge. The processes of storing SES energy back into the FES and of recharging the SES are repeated until the charging status of all cells in the SES is balanced. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out an automatic charging status calibration.</p> |
