METHOD OF PURIFYING CRANKCASE GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of purifying crankcase gas, having substantially higher efficiency than the conventional gas purifying method.

SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method of purifying the crankcase gas by eliminating particles floating in the crankcase gas and heavier than the crankcase gas. The crankcase gas is rotated in a chamber 2 formed in a fixed housing 1 so that the particles thereof are separated from the crankcase gas by the centrifugal force and discharged to the fixed housing 1. The rotation of the crankcase gas is achieved by a rotor 8 including a stacked body of two or more conical separating disks 22 formed coaxial with each other and concentric with a rotating shaft R. The gas to be purified is let flow through the spaces of the separating disks22 while the separating disks 22 are rotated so that the particles thereof are brought into contact with the insides of the separating disks 22 by the centrifugal force.
