PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route searching method in a navigation system, in which by designating only approximate transit region on a map, a route including the region can be searched and calculated. SOLUTION: The route searching method in a navigation system allows calculation and search of a route low in aggregate cost in consideration of cost per section between a starting point and a destination point. The method comprises designating a preferable transit region desired by a user to pass through on a map, and establishing a cost of the preferable transit region designated by the user in a low cost.
