PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a logic design support device supporting a logic design by a hardware description language (HDL), capable of contributing to drastic efficiency improvement of logic design work by the hardware description language. SOLUTION: This logic design support device is a device reading hardware description described by the hardware description language to parse a syntax and the description. The logic design support device has: a functional block definition position specification part 151 specifying a definition position independent of the number of lines inside the hardware description about a functional block of a constituent element from the hardware description; and a violation information output part 153 outputting the definition position of the functional block specified by the functional block definition position specification part simultaneously when outputting violation information.
