PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely discriminate a locus of a slit beam in a three-dimensional shape detector for detecting a three-dimensional shape of an object using the slit beam. SOLUTION: This imaging device 1 transforms a laser beam output from a laser diode 21 into the slit beam of a light flux emitted planarly with a prescribed angle width by a rod lens 24, so as to emit the first slit beam reflected on the first mirror face 25a of a reflecting mirror 25, and the second slit beam 72 reflected on the second mirror face having a prescribed width on the first mirror face 25a toward a direction separated from the first slit beam 71 by a prescribed angle, picks up an image of the object projected with the slit beams by a CCD image sensor 32 positioned with a fixed distance from a slit beam projection unit 20, calculates positions of the slit beams projected to the object by a processor, based on the image, and the three-dimensional shape of the object is found to obtain plane image data corrected as a document P is observed from its front face.
