PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, when the on/off control of the correcting function of recording timing is performed in a position corresponding to a profile, and if the actual recording operation (scan) is changed halfway, the on/off period differs and correction of recording timing cannot be performed properly. SOLUTION: Based on a speed information, the revision quantity of the drive timing of the record head is calculated to control the drive timing of the record head depending on the calculation result. In controlling the drive timing, when a variation in the speed is larger than a predetermined quantity, the drive timing is controlled based on the calculation result.
