PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip designed so as to effectively enhance a retaining force to documents by a simple technique. SOLUTION: This clip is equipped with a base 2 and a jamming means 4 arranged at an opposite position to the base 2. Documents P or the like are inserted into an insertion part formed between the base 2 and the jamming means 3 and retained there. The insertion part 6 is constituted so that a region is formed where an engagement part 2b1 with an unevenness formed on either of the base 2 or the jamming means 3 and a pressure receiving surface 4b1 with high resistance formed on the other are brought into contact under pressure with each other.
