PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water flow detector preventing atomization of fire extinguishing water emitted from a sprinkler head, when operating the sprinkler head due to a fire, by governing the pressure of the fire extinguishing water in a secondary side pipe in the water flow detector instantaneously stopping water supply by determining unexpected water discharge by an erroneous operation of the sprinkler head as the error by a signal from a sprinkler head operation detecting means and a signal of a fire sensor. SOLUTION: This detector is provided with a pressure governor governing the pressure in the secondary side of the water flow detector so as to make the pressure in the secondary side to a prescribed pressure or less.
