[Also in Division H1] In an oil-fuelled furnace operating at a low excess air to fuel ratio, the flow of fuel to each burner is adjusted by a manually or pneumatically controlled valve so that each burner operates at the same ratio and each flame temperature is below the stoichiometric peak and has the same linear variation with change in the ratio. A thermocouple is described (see Division H1) for measuring the flame temperature. |
