ENHANCING METHOD OF CO SHIFT REACTION, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HYDROGEN GAS OR GAS REDUCED IN CO CONTENT USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-step reaction enhancing method of CO shift reaction with a high conversion efficiency, and a manufacturing method of hydrogen gas or a gas reduced in CO content using the enhancing method.

SOLUTION: With this enhancing method of the CO shift reaction, a shift catalyst which enhances the shift reaction converting a mixed gas containing moisture and carbon monoxide into hydrogen gas and carbon dioxide and a carbon dioxide arrester which selectively adsorbs the generated carbon dioxide are brought into contact with the mixed gas in a coexisting state, thus carbon monoxide is removed and hydrogen is generated at the same time from the gas containing carbon monoxide and moisture.
