<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of a hole forming pin for inserting an indwelling needle used for preventing the indwelling needle from being formed in a direction other than a blood vessel by separating a mounting tool from the hole forming pin timely at the same time as the hole forming pin is inserted and mounted into a wound punctured just after the indwelling needle is pulled out. <P>SOLUTION: The mounting tool consists of a body 2 and a sliding body 3 incorporated in the body 2 to slide in the longitudinal direction. The sliding body 3, slidable in the front of the body 2, has a sliding shaft 21 projecting to the tip of the body 2. The tip of the sliding shaft 21 is engaged with a holding part 12 of the hole forming pin 1 for inserting the indwelling needle, and the hole forming pin 1 for inserting the indwelling needle is supported at the tip of the sliding shaft 21.
