<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image forming method and an image forming apparatus capable of performing appropriate magnification adjustment according to the condition in acquiring a magnification adjustment value at the time of heating and fixing after transferring an image to transfer paper after magnification adjustment based on the magnification adjustment value. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with a magnification adjusting means which performs magnification adjustment of at least either of a horizontal or vertical direction of the image based on the magnification adjustment value and subjects the image undergoing the magnification adjustment to heat fixing after the transfer thereof to the transfer paper. The apparatus is equipped with an elapsed time measuring means which measures the elapsed time after the discharge of the transfer paper from the image forming apparatus at the time of the magnification adjustment (at the time of setting the magnification adjustment) before the measurement of the magnification, and an amount-of-correction calculating means which calculates the amount of correction of the magnification adjustment value by referencing the elapsed time measured by the elapsed time measuring means. The magnification adjusting means performs the magnification adjustment based on the magnification adjustment value by adding the amount of correction calculated by the amount-of-correction calculating means at the time of forming the ordinary image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
