<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a customer to lightly settle a variety of charges by a credit card (hereinafter called a 'card') without necessity for a hotel side to make direct contracts with a large number of credit companies. <P>SOLUTION: This hotel charge settlement system has: a guest room terminal 13 installed inside a hotel guest room; a host computer 17 and a CCTV master unit 14 installed inside a hotel building; a substitutional settlement server 19 operated by a substitutional settlement company making contracts with a credit company and a hotel; and a credit sales server 21 operated by the credit company. The guest room terminal 13 has a card reader 16 reading information about the card. In the hotel charge settlement system, the card settlement to a service use charge of the hotel is directed on the basis of the read information. The CCTV master unit 14 accepts the direction from the guest room terminal 13 to request the settlement by the card to the substitutional settlement server 19, and the substitutional settlement server 19 executes a card settlement process between the substitutional settlement server 19 and the credit sales server 21 by the request from the CCTV master unit 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
