<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation support tool for automatically generating a test input. <P>SOLUTION: The simulation support tool comprises: analyzing a ladder program; extracting variables used in the ladder program; retrieving the execution sequence of the input variable out of the extracted variables in the ladder program; and preparing a test input sequence describing a table related to the command of the input variable, a variable name, and a normal input value together in accordance with the execution order. The simulation support tool further comprises: classifying the variables extracted by a variable extract section into the input variable and the output variable for storage; and linking the input variable to a value taken as a test input value for storage; generating a test input data pattern consisting of an abnormal pattern set to a value not the normal input value; automatically generating the pattern of an input data value for the test input variable based on the test input sequence and the abnormal pattern; and providing an input signal for test in predetermined timing to a PLC. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
