<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution system which takes into consideration the packet losses of the resend request signal and the resend acknowledgement signal and is very tolerant of errors. <P>SOLUTION: A multimedia content receiving device has a receiving means 101 of receiving packetized content data, an analyzing means 102 of analyzing the reception state of the packet data received by the receiving means, a resending control means 104 of deciding whether there are packet data requested to be resent from the analysis result and outputs a signal requesting the packet data to be resent, a resending list means 105 of holding the result of the decision made by the resending control means, a transmitting means 106 of sending the request-to-resend information to the transmission side, and a buffer means 103 of temporarily holding the packet data received by the receiving means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
