<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling transportation vehicles for mitigating the congestion in transportation routes and for realizing transportation with the minimum time required, and a method of controlling by a host system. <P>SOLUTION: The transportation system to be disclosed comprises at least two loops or more of a ceiling track rail in vertical direction or in horizontal direction to provide a plurality of routes for mitigating the congestion, and can select the transportation route of the minimum distance by setting the moving direction of the transportation vehicle in each ceiling track rail. Besides, the transportation route for the minimum time required is retrieved with a centralized controller, and the object to be transported can be transported with the minimum time required by informing the route to the relevant transportation vehicle and to the relevant storage shelf. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
