PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel (PDP) which is environmental-friendly, as well as capable of increasing color purity and contrast ratio, and further uniformizes voltage margins and discharge properties when gas in a PDP is discharged, and also to provide its fabrication method. SOLUTION: A fabrication method of a PDP comprises fabricating glass by mixing a ceramic pigment for controlling the light transmittance (one among CuO, CoO, Nd2O3, NiO, Cr2O3, Pr2O3 and Fe2O3) with a parent glass (one among Pb0-B2O3-SiO2+Al2O3-BaO-based glass, P2O5-B2O3-ZnO-based glass and ZnO-B2O3-RO-based glass) to produce glass; crushing the produced glass into a size of 1 to 5 um to form a glass powder; mixing the glass powder in a solvent to form a transfer film; coating the transfer film on the upper face of a glass substrate; and baking the coated transfer film.
