PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image read apparatus, an image forming apparatus equipped with the same and a scanner system in which one or more originals which are mutually relating, can be scanned from an ADF or from a platen or from both to be converted into one file, an imparted file name has a common part and a serial number corresponding to the folder of a storage destination, and the common parts of files stored in the same folder are automatically updated when that common part is changed. SOLUTION: An image read apparatus 1 which reads an original, imparts a file name and comprises a storage means for storing the original using the imparted file name, has a folder for storing files, designates a folder to store the files, imparts different file names to all image data files, and combines a portion wherein the file name is common for the files stored in the same folder and can be set and changed by a user, and a portion wherein the file name is automatically imparted as a serial number within the same folder.
