PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power amplifying device capable of amplifying the electric power of an input signal at high power efficiency. SOLUTION: The electric power amplifying device is provided with: the traveling wave tube amplifying device 11 which amplifies the electric power of the input signal; an envelope detector 12 which detects the input signal to detect the amplitude of the envelope; and an anode voltage setter 13 which sets the anode voltage of the traveling wave tube amplifying device 11, thereby amplifying the electric power of the input signal at high electric power efficiency.
