PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly move a lens with a simple configuration, to miniaturize a lens moving device by adopting the simple configuration and to miniaturize an optical apparatus by providing it with such a lens moving mechanism. SOLUTION: The lens moving device 1 is provided with: a nut 32 furnished with an optical lens 30; a lead screw 5 which engages with the nut 32; an AF (auto focus) motor 4 which rotationally drives the lead screw 5 and slides the lead screw 5 in an axial direction; fitting parts 14 and 15 which are formed in a shorter dimension than the width X1 of the nut 32 on both ends of the lead screw 5 which controls the movement of the nut 32 and engage with the nut 32 so that the nut 32 slides; and pressurizing spring 9 and pressing spring 23 which press the lead screw 5 in the axial direction of the lead screw 5 directed from the intermediate part 13 of the lead screw 5 to engaged parts 14 and 15.
