PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submerged pump, smoothly passing foreign matter sucked in during the operation of the pump. SOLUTION: This submerged pump 1 has an impeller 2 for discharging water sucked in from the inflow side. A projecting member 6 or a groove 8 for catching the foreign matter and passing the same is provided in the inner periphery of a liner ring 6 mounted opposite to the impeller 2in the interior of a casing 4 of the submerged pump 1. The liner ring may be split to form a movable liner 11. Thus, the foreign matter entangled in a gap between a blade 3 and the liner ring 5 can be easily removed to be smoothly passed through the interior of the pump. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
