PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Stirling cycle engine capable of suppressing the adverse effect by heat generated from a drive device and firmly and accurately holding an electromagnetic core. SOLUTION: This Stirling cycle engine comprises a casing 1, a cylinder 7 inserted into the casing 1, a displacer 8 and a piston 15 slidably inserted into the cylinder 7, the drive device 16 reciprocatingly driving the piston 15, an aluminum mount 27 for fixing the cylinder 7 to the casing 1 and holding the drive device 16, and an aluminum fixed ring 28 for holding the electromagnetic core 20 of the drive device 16 in the clearance thereof from the mount. The electromagnetic core 20 is formed of a steel and the fixed ring 28 is formed of aluminum. Accordingly, the heat generated from the drive device 16 is moved from the drive device 16 to the fixed ring 28 with excellent heat conductivity and radiated into the casing 1.
