PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify cooling water piping around an engine in an engine cooling structure having a water pump circulating cooling water between a cylinder side and a head side water jackets mounted on a crank case. SOLUTION: In this engine, cooling water supply passages 62L, 62R guiding cooling water from the water pump 46 to a crank case 21 and cooling water return passages 63L, 63R guiding cooling water guided out from the cylinder side water jackets 60L, 60R are provided in parallel with an axial line of a crank shaft 11. The cylinder side water jackets 60L, 60R and the head side water jackets 61L, 61R are formed in such a manner that cooling water supplied by the cooling water supply passages 62L, 62R return to the cylinder side water jacket 60L, 60R from the cylinder side water jacket 60L, 60R via the head side water jackets 61L, 61R.
