PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof material having novel workability as the roof material, and equipped with the waterproof function, the heat insulating function, and the condensation preventing function. SOLUTION: This roof material A forms an upward projecting waterproof piece 13, and a water cut-off piece 14 of projecting the tip of the waterproof piece 13 to the downstream side, on the tip on the upstream side of a decorative surface 4; and forms a downward suspended stepped decorative surface 6, the innermost piece 8 of downwardly projecting the tip vicinity of the decorative surface 4, and an inserting piece 9 of projecting the tip of the innermost piece 8 to the downstream side, on the tip on the downstream side of the decorative surface 4. The roof material always puts the water cut-off piece 14 in a state of contacting with the downstream end vicinal reverse of the decorative surface 4 in connection, and is formed so that the tip of the water cut-off piece 14 is fitted inside the stepped decorative surface 6.
